The Villanova Mondovì Carnival is the annual winter event that brings confetti, masks, and joy to the streets of this town in the Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, nestled at the foot of the Maritime Alps and just a few kilometers from Mondovì. This is not a massive historical carnival with giant floats, but a genuine village festival designed to engage children and their families in a spirit of community.

A festival born from the collaboration between the Municipality and the Oratory

The initiative is the result of a close partnership between the Municipality of Villanova Mondovì and the Oratory, a collaboration renewed year after year that has built a lively program animated by educators, entertainers, and volunteers from local associations. The Carnival's double event

Villanova's program is divided into two distinct moments:

• The parade in the city of Mondovì: Children and teenagers from Villanova take part in the grand masked parade that crosses the center of Mondovì, featuring a themed push-float and a shuttle service departing from Villanova.
• The village festival: In the afternoon, the streets of Villanova come alive with a costume parade, games, and fun, concluding with a final gathering and a shared snack in Piazza Filippi.

One of the most charming aspects of the Villanova Carnival is the freedom of costumes: even when a theme is chosen (such as superheroes in recent years), participation is not restricted, and everyone is free to wear their favorite mask.
