The witches' night in the village of Triora
The Halloween Festival in Triora has a unique charm: the village in the upper Argentina valley (province of Imperia) is known worldwide as "the village of witches," due to the famous witchcraft trial of 1587. This identity makes Triora the ideal setting for the most magical and mysterious night of the year.
The medieval historic center comes alive with magic potions, theatrical performances, medieval dances, children's workshops, and scary stories told in the narrow streets. A program designed to engage all ages, with thrilling atmospheres and fun, in perfect harmony with the village's history.
Included in Triora's autumn calendar, the Halloween Festival is one of the events that animate the village out of season, enhancing its historical and legendary heritage. It's an opportunity to discover the alleys, the witchcraft museum, and the unique aura of one of Liguria's most fascinating villages, nestled in the nature of the Ligurian Alps.
For 2026, the Halloween Festival is confirmed in Triora's autumn calendar, following the tradition of placing it around October 31st.
In the witches' village, magic potions, theatrical performances, medieval dances, children's workshops, and scary stories told in the alleys will return. The precise date and program will be announced by the Municipality closer to the event.
The detailed 2026 program will be announced by the Municipality of Triora. Based on recent editions:
