Where the valley becomes music
In the summer of 2026, a brand-new festival is born in Piasco, a charming village in the Varaita Valley in the province of Cuneo: VARAVIBE. Conceived and organized by the Piasco Eventi association, the festival kicks off its first edition on July 9th and 10th, 2026, immediately establishing itself as an ambitious addition to the musical landscape of south-western Piedmont. The name itself, blending the "Vara" of the Varaita Valley with the "vibe" of live music, captures the spirit of the event: making the valley vibrate to the rhythm of great concerts.
The heart of VARAVIBE is the renovated Piazza Biandrate, an open-air space in the center of Piasco that transforms into a stage for two nights. The choice of a central town square is intentional: the festival aims to be a moment of community gathering and local promotion, drawing audiences from across the valley and the Cuneo plains. Here, the beauty of the Alpine landscape meets the energy of live music in a warm, summer atmosphere.
The first edition features two distinct yet complementary acts, appealing to a wide range of ages. The opening night is headlined by Nomadi, one of the longest-running and most beloved bands in Italian music, while the second night features the Gen Verde International Performing Arts Group, an international ensemble that fuses music, dance, color, and universal messages. It is a formula that weaves together great Italian songwriting with international performance art.
Best known for its harp-making tradition, Piasco serves as a gateway to the Varaita Valley, one of the most evocative Occitan valleys in Piedmont, characterized by Alpine villages, Provenรงal culture, and pristine nature. VARAVIBE fits into this context as an event that bridges music and the local area, offering residents and visitors another reason to explore this corner of the Cuneo province during the summer.
Tickets for both nights are available online via the ticket.it portal and at authorized tobacconists in Piasco, Fossano, and Saluzzo. Prices vary by night and seating category, with discounted rates available for children.
The inaugural edition of VARAVIBE brings two major names from the Italian and international music scene to Piasco for two consecutive nights in the new Piazza Biandrate. A debut that aims to establish the festival as a permanent fixture of the summer in the Varaita Valley.
Both concerts take place in the new Piazza Biandrate, in the center of Piasco.
Piasco is located in the Varaita Valley, in the province of Cuneo. By car, it can be reached from Saluzzo via the SP8 in just a few minutes; from Cuneo and Turin, take the exit toward Saluzzo and continue into the valley. The new Piazza Biandrate is in the town center.
The two nights take place on July 9th and 10th, 2026, with concerts starting at 9:00 PM.
