A weekend of traditional crafts, mountain timber, and the flavors of the Lanzo Valleys in Cantoira
Every year in early July, the small town of Cantoira, nestled in the heart of the Lanzo Valleys in the Province of Turin (Piedmont), becomes a showcase for mountain craftsmanship and local excellence. The Typical Craftsmanship Fair of the Lanzo, Ceronda, and Casternone Valleys takes place in the Trambiè area and has been attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the Turin metropolitan area for over twenty years.
Established in the late 1990s and rooted in the mountain timber industry from the start, the fair has expanded its scope to include all forms of local craftsmanship: woodworking, stone carving, ironwork, ceramics, textiles, and the typical food and wine products of the valleys.
The event is organized by the Municipality of Cantoira in collaboration with CNA Torino and the GAL Valli di Lanzo, Ceronda e Casternone, with the patronage of the Metropolitan City of Turin and the support of the Turin Chamber of Commerce. It is a perfect opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Alpine Piedmont, support local artisans, and soak up the village atmosphere that defines the Lanzo Valleys.
Admission is free: the fair is perfect for a day trip, perhaps combined with a walk through the village and the valley trails.
