TTS Food - Typical Truck Street Food is the traveling street food concept created by Mela Eventi, which tours the Lazio region every year with a caravan of mobile kitchens. The Pomezia stop takes place at Piazzale Kennedy, in the seaside district of Torvaianica, just a few steps from the beach. It is one of the most popular spots on the coast during summer evenings, where the public can move freely among the trucks, choose, taste, and stop to enjoy the music.

The concept is simple and clearly stated by the organizers: the undisputed star is quality food & beverage, surrounded by entertainment and leisure activities. It is not just a simple gastronomic fair, but a public square that transforms for a few evenings into a social gathering place, featuring shared tables, colorful lights, and a deliberately informal vibe.

On-the-road kitchens and specialties

The TTS Food formula brings together food trucks, ApeCars, and cooking stands managed by street chefs who prepare dishes on the spot. Previous stops in the circuit have typically featured:

• gourmet sandwiches and dry-aged beef burgers;
• arancini and Sicilian sweet and savory specialties;
• traditional Roman fried snacks and fried pizza;
• porchetta, arrosticini, and barbecue;
• seafood dishes served directly from the truck;
• Valencian paella, tacos, and other international offerings;

As for drinks, the brand is known for its raw, unfiltered Bavarian-style beer served at dedicated stands, alongside soft drinks, cocktails, and wines.

A highlight of the Pomezia Summer

The Pomezia stop is part of the Estate Pometina (Pomezia Summer) program, a calendar of events promoted by the Municipality of Pomezia that enlivens the area between the city center and Torvaianica from July to September. The street food event fits into a schedule filled with concerts, outdoor cinema, "white nights," and shows held across Piazza Indipendenza, Piazza Ungheria, and Piazzale Kennedy. Those arriving for dinner can easily continue their evening with the scheduled entertainment on the stage set up in the same area.

Pomezia, the coast, and the Metropolitan City of Rome

Pomezia is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, in the Lazio region, about thirty kilometers from the capital along the Via Pontina. Founded in the 1930s during the reclamation of the Agro Pontino, its seaside district—Torvaianica—is its main tourist hub: a long stretch of beaches and beach clubs that doubles the local population in August. TTS Food taps into this seasonality, attracting both residents and Roman vacationers who head to the coast for the weekend.

The evening experience

The event opens in the evening and continues late into the night: the typical time slot for the circuit runs from late afternoon until midnight, with peak attendance after sunset when the temperature on the seafront becomes more pleasant. Admission is free and no reservation is required: you only pay for what you consume, with street-food prices and portions designed to be enjoyed standing or at shared tables.
