Theatre, live music, and comedy under the stars at Parchi della Colombo
Estate ai Parchi is the live performance festival that brings the open-air amphitheatre of Parchi della Colombo to life from June to September. Located at 1897 Via Cristoforo Colombo, in the Infernetto district of Rome, in the Lazio region, the venue is tucked away from the historic centre but easily accessible by car. The facility is situated in a well-equipped green area featuring parking, children's play zones, and refreshment pointsโa formula that has made this stage a landmark for the coast and the southern districts of the capital.
The programming follows a simple and recognizable weekly rhythm, designed so that every spectator always knows what to expect. Thursday is family night, with theatrical performances for children inspired by great Disney stories and cartoon-themed karaoke nights. Friday turns up the volume with live music, featuring touring artists and tribute bands dedicated to the greatest names in Italian and international music. Saturday is for comedy, with one-man shows, stand-up, and variety acts by well-known faces from the Roman and national scene.
The 2026 edition, presented as a true cultural relaunch for South Rome, spans over three months of events. Announced musical acts include Gianmarco Carroccia with his acoustic tribute to the repertoire of Battisti and Mogol, producer and guitarist Boss Doms, and Marco Ligabue, joined by tribute bands such as Palasport (Pooh), Achtung Babies (U2), Italia Dire Straits, Estro, and ReQueen (Queen). The comedy lineup features, among others, the duo Luciano Lembo and Alberto Laurenti, Ruggero de I Timidi, Leonardo Bocci, Angelica Massera, Dario Bandiera, Paola Michelini, and the duo Casa Abis. There are also special one-off events, such as the magic show Abracadabra โ The Night of Miracles, while the K-Pop Warriors format, dedicated to Korean music and choreography, provides a fitting close to the season in September.
The philosophy declared by the organizers is that of a deliberately popular lineup: affordable prices, no barriers to entry, and a program designed for the local neighborhood even before the tourist. Tickets remain at modest prices, with discounts available for people with disabilities and large groups, and free entry for children under twelve months. Tickets can be purchased online via the iTicket circuit or directly at the box office on the evening of the show, although advance booking is recommended to secure your spot for the most popular nights.
One of the hallmarks of Estate ai Parchi is the ability to turn the evening into a complete outing. The area hosts food stalls and bars where you can have dinner or a drink before the start, play areas and sports facilities that allow children to burn off energy while waiting for the curtain to rise, and large green spaces to relax in. The gates open an hour before the shows begin, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the venue at your leisure.
In a city where summer offerings are often concentrated in the large arenas of the centre, Estate ai Parchi represents a bold alternative: bringing theatre, music, and comedy into the neighborhoods, with consistency and at a price that excludes no one. For those staying on the Roman coast, between Ostia, Casal Palocco, and Axa, it is the most convenient evening appointment of the summer; for those coming from the centre, it is an opportunity to discover a lesser-known side of Rome, made of maritime pines, residential neighborhoods, and open-air shows that begin when the heat finally subsides.
Over three months of open-air shows, from June 4th to late September 2026, at the Parchi della Colombo amphitheatre along Via Cristoforo Colombo, in the Infernetto district of Rome. The formula remains the same three fixed days: Thursday for families, Friday for live music, and Saturday for comedy.
The musical calendar brings Gianmarco Carroccia to the stage with his acoustic tribute to Battisti and Mogol, Boss Doms, and Marco Ligabue, along with a large group of tribute bands: Palasport for Pooh, Achtung Babies for U2, Italia Dire Straits, Estro, and ReQueen for Queen, as well as evenings dedicated to Genesis, Pink Floyd, and the repertoire of Vasco Rossi. The comedy Saturday features Luciano Lembo and Alberto Laurenti, Ruggero de I Timidi, Leonardo Bocci, Angelica Massera, Dario Bandiera, Paola Michelini, and the duo Casa Abis. Among the special evenings, the magic show Abracadabra โ The Night of Miracles stands out on August 1st, while the K-Pop Warriors format, dedicated to Korean music and choreography, accompanies the end of the season in September.
Thursday family shows, inspired by theatre and featuring cartoon karaoke, begin at 7:30 PM with gates opening at 6:30 PM; concerts and comedy start at 9:30 PM, with gates opening at 8:30 PM. The area hosts food stalls, bars, play areas, and parking, so you can arrive early and have dinner before the show.
Throughout the season, Luciano Lembo and Alberto Laurenti, Ruggero de I Timidi, Leonardo Bocci, Angelica Massera, Dario Bandiera, Paola Michelini, and the duo Casa Abis will take turns on stage. The full calendar, updated week by week, is published on the website estateaiparchi.it.
