Legends of rock, pop, soul, and blues come to life every night in the EUR district
Eur Music Fest - The Sound of Legends began in May 2025 as a free concert series at the Laghetto dell'EUR, in the Parco Centrale del Lago, and in just one season, it became one of the most popular musical events of the Roman summer. The format is simple and effective: every evening features a live concert by a top-tier Italian tribute band, capable of retracing forty years of rock, pop, soul, and blues history. The first edition featured over forty concerts and more than 60,000 attendees, numbers that convinced the organizers to turn the experiment into a nearly year-round program.
Starting from the 2025-2026 season, the festival has a permanent home at Via di Vigna Murata 70, in the IX Municipality of the City of Rome, in Lazio, just a few minutes' walk from the Laurentina metro terminus. The area, a redeveloped space in a long-neglected zone, hosts an outdoor stage for the summer season and a heated marquee for the Winter Edition, which runs from October to April. The result is a festival that, in effect, accompanies the entire musical year of the capital's southern quadrant.
The lineup alternates between tributes to major international names and Italian music. The stage has hosted acts dedicated to Pink Floyd, Metallica, AC/DC, Queen, Coldplay, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, Madonna, The Doors, Rolling Stones, Dire Straits, Green Day, Blink-182, Oasis, and Nile Rodgers' Chic, alongside tributes to Vasco Rossi, Ligabue, Zucchero, Jovanotti, Adriano Celentano, and 883. There are also themed evenings, such as karaoke nights, stand-up comedy shows, and re-enactments of the atmosphere of the old Festivalbar.
Eur Music Fest is not a massive arena festival: it is a neighborhood event that grew very quickly, with an intergenerational audience ranging from families with children to groups of friends who arrive for dinner and stay for the concert. The formula combining tables, food, and live music has made the venue a regular meeting point rather than an isolated event, and the free admission to concertsโa hallmark since the first edition at the lakeโhas made it an accessible cultural hub for the entire district.
The EUR district, with its rationalist architecture, lake, and large tree-lined avenues, has always been one of Rome's most photogenic settings, but it has historically suffered from a lack of evening entertainment. The birth of Eur Music Fest, supported from the start by the Municipio Roma IX EUR and co-produced with Eur S.p.A. for the first edition at the lake, is part of a broader strategy to enhance public spaces in the area. For those visiting the Province of Rome in summer, it is one of the few opportunities to listen to live music every night without a ticket and without leaving the metro network.
Those looking for exclusive record label showcases won't find their festival here; however, those who want to spend a Roman evening outdoors, with a good meal, a beer, and a repertoire that everyone knows by heart, will not be disappointed. It is also a great way to discover the Italian tribute band scene, a sector that has reached remarkable performance quality in Italy and finds a continuous, well-organized showcase here.
After the success of the winter season in the marquee, Eur Music Fest returned outdoors on May 14, 2026, at Via di Vigna Murata 70, in Rome, with a packed schedule accompanying the entire summer until September. Each evening is built around a live concert starting at 9:00 PM, performed by an Italian tribute band.
The month of June featured eight evenings, July fifteen, with a pace that covers every day on weekends. Alongside the concerts, there are karaoke nights and stand-up comedy appointments, while the on-site restaurant remains open for those who want to combine dinner and music. Table reservations can be made by phone or WhatsApp at +39 379 1288620.
Updated dates for mid-July and August are published progressively on the official website and the festival's social channels. All concerts start at 9:00 PM.
