Every summer, Piazza Indipendenza, the central square of Pomezia, transforms into an open-air theatre. Pomezia Live Show is the festival that marks the hottest months with six evenings of live entertainment, spread across July, August, and September, all with completely free admission. The formula is simple and proven: at 9:00 PM, the public can watch the backstage or meet the artists directly, while the actual show begins at 9:30 PM.
A deliberately eclectic program
The festival does not have a single theme: it is the alternation of styles that defines its identity. The lineup features tribute concerts, musical theatre, comedy and stand-up, illusionism and magic, and live music nights with bands and DJ sets dedicated to the great hits of the nineties and two-thousands. A choice that allows every type of audience to find at least one tailor-made evening, making the square a place for intergenerational meetings rather than just a concert arena.

Pomezia Live Show is not an isolated event: it is one of the most visible chapters of the Pomezia Summer, the summer calendar promoted by the Municipality of Pomezia which, between the main town and the seaside district of Torvaianica, gathers dozens of free events — open-air cinema, white nights, food festivals, guided tours, concerts, and activities for children. The festival is realized with the contribution of the Lazio Region, which supports the summer cultural programming of the coastal municipalities.
Pomezia and the Roman coast
Pomezia is located in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, in Lazio, just over thirty kilometres from the centre of the capital and a few minutes from the sea of Torvaianica. Founded in the thirties during the reclamation of the Agro Pontino, it is a young city in terms of architecture but set in a territory of ancient memory: a few kilometres away lie the archaeological area of Lavinium, linked to the legend of Aeneas, and the Sughereta nature reserve. This dual nature — modern city and historical landscape — is reflected in the festival's approach, popular and accessible, designed for the neighbourhood even before the passing tourist.
The atmosphere of the evenings
The evenings of the Pomezia Live Show have the typical rhythm of coastal summers: people arrive early, stroll among the bars and cafes overlooking the square, and sit down before 9:30 PM so as not to miss the start. The meeting with the artists scheduled at 9:00 PM is one of the most appreciated features, because it brings the public closer to the work behind the scenes and gives the evenings an informal tone, far from the distance of large festivals. As these are free open-air shows, it is advisable to arrive with some advance notice on the most anticipated dates.
Pomezia Live Show — edition 2026
The Pomezia Live Show 2026 takes place over six dates spread between July, August, and September, all in Piazza Indipendenza and all with free admission. The festival, promoted by the Municipality of Pomezia with the contribution of the Lazio Region, opens on July 12 with the concert by Doctor Vintage and closes on September 19 with an evening dedicated to the music of the nineties and two-thousands.
Between these two dates, the lineup alternates very different styles: the magic of Notte Magica, the tribute to Gabriella Ferri, the comedy of Luciano Lembo, and the theatrical narrative about Ennio Morricone by Stefano Masciarelli and Diego Trivellini. Each evening follows the same formula, with the artist meet-and-greet at 9:00 PM and the show at 9:30 PM.

How to get there
- By car: Pomezia exit of the Via Pontina (SS148) from Rome, about 30 km from the Grande Raccordo Anulare. Parking is available in the streets adjacent to the square.
- By train and bus: Pomezia-Santa Palomba station on the FL8 Rome Termini – Nettuno line, then bus connection to the centre. Numerous Cotral buses connect Pomezia with Rome EUR Laurentina.
- By plane: Rome Fiumicino airport is about 35 km away.
Hours and admission
Free admission to all evenings. At 9:00 PM, backstage or artist meet-and-greet; at 9:30 PM, the show begins. No booking is required: seats are taken upon arrival.
Tips
Arrive at least half an hour early on the most crowded dates, especially around Ferragosto (mid-August). The sea of Torvaianica is just a few minutes away by car, allowing you to combine a day at the beach with an evening in the square.
