Founded in 2002 by a group of the best vendors from the historic market of Forte dei Marmi in Versilia, the Consorzio Gli Ambulanti di Forte dei Marmi is now a registered trademark that travels across Italy with a recognizable format: not just any market, but a series of true open-air boutiques, set up with the care of a city storefront. For years, the Consortium has regularly visited Rome, transforming streets and squares into a runway of Italian fashion and craftsmanship for a day.
The Rome stops
The Roman calendar features several appointments throughout the year. The two most frequent locations are Ostia Lido, where stalls line via Vincenzo Vannutelli just steps from the seafront, and Rome EUR, set up in front of the Palazzo dei Congressi between viale della Pittura and viale della Letteratura (Municipality IX). The market also makes appearances in other city neighborhoods, such as piazza Don Bosco, and in towns within the Metropolitan City of Rome, from Mentana to Ciampino, as well as the coast in Santa Marinella and Fiumicino.

Admission is free, and the event runs continuously from 8 am to 7 pm, even in case of bad weather. Market days almost always involve temporary traffic changes and parking bans on the affected streets: it is advisable to check the municipal ordinances published in the days prior.

The 2026 Roman stops
The 2026 calendar of the Consortium in the Rome Capital territory opened on Saturday, January 3rd in Ostia, on via Vincenzo Vannutelli, with the usual continuous hours from 8 am to 7 pm and the related traffic changes arranged by the Municipality. The following day, Sunday, January 4th, the appointment moved to Mentana, in the Metropolitan City.
In February, the return to EUR took place: Saturday, February 21st at the Palazzo dei Congressi, in the stretch between viale della Pittura and viale della Letteratura (Municipality IX), followed on Sunday, February 22nd by piazza Don Bosco. On March 14th, the caravan stopped in Ciampino, while the weekend of July 18th and 19th focused on the coast: Saturday the 18th in Santa Marinella, on the G. Marconi seafront near the La Londrina beach club, and Sunday, July 19th, back in Ostia, on via Vincenzo Vannutelli.
The calendar continues in the second half of the year with new dates published month by month on the Consortium's official website and social channels.

Ostia (via Vincenzo Vannutelli): Regional railway Roma-Lido (Metromare line) from Piramide, stop at Lido Centro, then a few minutes' walk. By car, take via Cristoforo Colombo or via del Mare.
Rome EUR (Palazzo dei Congressi): Metro B, stop at EUR Fermi or EUR Palasport.
