The Treglio Rock Fest

The Treglio Rock Fest is the musical celebration that marks the end of summer in Treglio, a tiny municipality in the province of Chieti, Abruzzo, nestled on the hills overlooking the Costa dei Trabocchi between Lanciano and the sea. Launched in 2016 and organized by the Pro Loco Treglio APS, the festival has quickly become one of the most anticipated events in the village's summer calendar, drawing crowds from across the Val di Sangro and Frentano areas.

Live Music and Tribute Bands

The heart of the event is the major evening concert in Piazza San Giorgio, in the town center. Each edition focuses on a tribute band dedicated to an international rock legend: over the years, the stage has hosted tributes to Queen (with Regina Queen in 2024) and Pink Floyd (with PaintBox in recent editions). It is a way to relive the songs that defined music history in an intimate and engaging setting where the village transforms into an open-air arena.

Flavors of Abruzzo

The festival is about more than just music: the evening always begins with food stalls managed by the Pro Loco and local volunteers, where you can sample traditional Frentano and Abruzzese dishes, from the essential arrosticini to other local delicacies. You can dine al fresco among the village houses and stay for the concert, soaking in the authentic atmosphere of a local feast.

Treglio, the Painted Village

The setting is one of the most unique villages in Abruzzo: Treglio is known as the painted village, an open-air art museum where house facades are decorated with over a hundred frescoes created over the years during the International Fresco Week. Attending the Treglio Rock Fest means spending an evening of music while strolling among the artworks that make this corner of the Chieti province truly unique.
