The Rapino Christmas Markets bring the historic center of this small village in the province of Chieti to life every December, nestled at the foot of the Majella in the heart of Abruzzo. For one day, the stone alleys of the town turn into a Christmas village, where craftsmanship, local flavors, and evocative atmospheres intertwine along a path that invites visitors to rediscover the excellence of the region.
The streets of the town host stalls of artisans, hobbyists, and local producers, ready to offer handmade goods, Christmas decorations, and typical products. Alongside creations made with traditional techniques, you will find original and authentic gift ideas, the result of the work of those who preserve the local crafts. A gastronomic section allows you to savor dishes and specialties of Abruzzo cuisine, including traditional sweets and zero-kilometer products.
Rapino is not just any town: it is one of the historic centers of Abruzzo ceramics, with a majolica tradition that dates back to the early 19th century and is still recounted today by the Ceramics Museum. Visiting the market also means immersing yourself in an ancient village, with a municipality proud of an artisanal identity that is strong and recognized throughout the region.
Organized by the Municipality of Rapino, the Christmas Markets are a moment of meeting and sharing for the community and an opportunity for visitors to discover one of the most characteristic villages of the Chieti hinterland during the most magical time of the year.
The Municipality of Rapino has not yet announced the official dates for the 2026 edition of the Christmas Markets. The event, which takes place every year during the Christmas season, is expected to return as usual to the historic center of the village with crafts, typical products, and the flavors of Abruzzo cuisine.
