The pop culture, comics, and video game festival in the heart of Trapani
Every spring, Trapani Comix & Games turns the capital of Western Sicily into a vibrant hub dedicated to comics, video games, cosplay, and the entire pop culture imagination. The event, organized by the Nerd Attack ETS association in collaboration with the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese and the Municipality of Trapani, takes place in the historic setting of Villa Margherita, the city's iconic urban park, and extends into some of the most charming spots in the historic center.
Launched in 2018, the festival has quickly become one of the most important industry events in Southern Italy. Each year, the program brings together over a hundred events, including author meet-and-greets, exhibitions, tournaments, concerts, live shows, and cosplay gatherings, designed for a wide audience: from young manga and video game fans to families with children, and from comic book readers to hardcore gamers.
The festival features numerous dedicated areas spread across Villa Margherita and other city landmarks such as the San Domenico Complex, Palazzo Cavarretta, the San Rocco Museum, and the Teatro Giuseppe Di Stefano. Recurring highlights include:
Over the years, Trapani Comix & Games has hosted prestigious names from the world of comics and pop culture, including Italian and international authors, voice actors, web creators, and artists from the animation music scene.
More than just a fair, Trapani Comix & Games is an event that engages the entire community of the Municipality and Province of Trapani, Sicily, bringing parks, theaters, and historic palaces to life for an entire weekend. The combination of a Mediterranean setting, a rich program, and a festive atmosphere makes it a landmark event for enthusiasts from across the island and beyond.
The 2026 edition of Trapani Comix & Games was held from May 22 to 24, 2026, at Villa Margherita and other locations in Trapani's historic center. The official poster was created by Mirka Andolfo, one of the most acclaimed Italian authors on the international scene.
Among the guests, appearing for the first time at a festival in Southern Italy, was C.B. Cebulski, Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics, joined by Argentine comic artist Leandro Fernรกndez (Batman, Wolverine, Punisher). New features included the "Diabolik lands in Sicily" project, showcasing original plates by Claudio Stassi, and new areas dedicated to fiction, indie games, and graphic journalism.
Villa Margherita is located in the center of Trapani, a short distance from the train station. By car, Trapani can be reached via the A29 Palermo-Mazara del Vallo motorway. Trapani-Birgi Airport (Vincenzo Florio) is approximately 15 km from the city.
Admission is ticketed, with daily passes and three-day subscriptions available for purchase online via the official website, at the Villa Margherita box office, and at authorized retailers. Children under 6 enter for free; free admission is also provided for individuals with disabilities and their companions upon presentation of relevant documentation.
Trapani offers numerous accommodation options in the center and along the coast; we recommend booking in advance during the festival weekend and taking the opportunity to visit the salt pans and the historic center.
