The End of Summer Parade is an event held in Castellammare del Golfo, a charming seaside village in the province of Trapani overlooking the gulf of the same name in Sicily. The event was created to bid farewell to the summer season with two days of festivities featuring allegorical floats, dance, and choreography that traverse the heart of the town, engaging residents and tourists in a joyful atmosphere.
A young but already beloved event
The inaugural edition took place in September 2025, promoted by the Sicilia Smile and Colori in Movimento associations with the patronage of the Municipality of Castellammare del Golfo. The initiative was born from the desire to close the summer with a fresh, festive event capable of enlivening the town's streets and the Playa beach with color, music, and movement, while strengthening the bond between the community and its territory.
Floats, dance, and choreography
The heart of the parade is represented by the allegorical floats and dance troupes that march along the city route. The choreography is curated by local gyms and sports centers, which stage engaging and visually striking group performances. The festival winds through the town center and the seafront, offering entertainment accessible to everyone, from families to the younger crowd.
Castellammare del Golfo, an exceptional setting

How to get there
Castellammare del Golfo can be reached by car via the A29 Palermo-Mazara del Vallo motorway (Castellammare del Golfo exit). The nearest airport is Palermo Falcone-Borsellino (Punta Raisi), about 50 km away. The train station is located outside the town center and is connected by bus services.

Access to the parade and shows is free.
Tips
The events take place in the late afternoon and evening along the streets of the center and the seafront: comfortable clothing is recommended, and it is advised to park in peripheral areas to reach the parade route on foot.
