The Transpelmo Sprint
The Transpelmo is the famous skyrun that takes place around Monte Pelmo, in Val di Zoldo, in the province of Belluno, amidst the Dolomites. In 2026, the classic long course will not be held due to ongoing construction work in Pecol, which will continue until late autumn and prevent the use of necessary spaces for organization (awards tent, showers, services, parking). However, the Transpelmo Sprint, the shorter version of the race, remains on the calendar.
The 2026 Course
The Sprint is 8.5 km long with 650 meters of positive elevation gain. The start and finish are in Pecol (1,400 m): the course passes through Palafavera, Col delle Crepe, and Pian di Buoi, before returning towards Palafavera and tackling the final climb to Le Coste before the finish. It's a mixed profile, technical and fast, set within the stunning Dolomite landscape.
A Limited Entry Race
Due to limited space in the start and finish area, participation is restricted to 200 competitors. Registration opens in mid-May on the event's official website.
Sport and Celebration at Altitude
The Transpelmo is more than just a race: on September 6th, there will be an after-race event with a DJ set among the historic 'tabià ' (traditional barns) of old Pecol, combining high-level trail running with a convivial atmosphere in the heart of Val di Zoldo.
Transpelmo Sprint — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Transpelmo will be held in the Sprint format only, on September 6th, as the ongoing construction work in Pecol does not allow for the long course around the Pelmo.
The course is 8.5 km long with 650 m of positive elevation gain: start and finish in Pecol (1,400 m), passing through Palafavera, Col delle Crepe, and Pian di Buoi, returning towards Palafavera and the final climb to Le Coste. Registration opens May 15th, with spots limited to 200 participants.
