About Trade Festival

The Trade Festival is the summer highlight that brings the historic center of Ponsacco, in the province of Pisa, to life, transforming streets and squares into one big, vibrant celebration. Each year, the Natural Shopping Center selects a theme to anchor the evening: for 2026, it is "Summer New Year's Eve," a sparkling, warm-weather take on New Year's celebrations featuring music, DJ sets, street food, markets, and shows that keep the town buzzing from late afternoon well past midnight.

A street festival in the heart of Ponsacco

The Trade Festival is one of the most anticipated summer events in Ponsacco, a lively town in the Valdera area of the Pisa province, in Tuscany. Created to showcase the town's commercial spirit, the event turns the entire historic center into a massive party for one night, where shops, boutiques, and businesses open their doors to the public with music, entertainment, and activities designed for families, young people, and visitors. The organizers' stated goal is to unite the local business community and attract guests from beyond the province.

The 2026 theme: Summer New Year's Eve

Every edition revolves around a central theme. For 2026, the choice fell on "Summer New Year's Eve": a sparkling, summer-inspired reinterpretation of New Year's Eve, complete with elegant and glittery attire, themed scenery, and a spectacular grand finale. Different areas of the center are decorated with installations and lights, while the festivities unfold from late afternoon until late at night.

Areas and events

The program is spread across the main squares and streets of the historic center. Starting at 5:00 PM, DJ sets kick off: on Via Vanni, hosted by Giropizza and Glenda Concept Store, and in Piazza D'Appiano and Piazza della Repubblica with dance music. The street food area is located in the same zone, designed as a roving dinner among the stalls.

  • Via Roma – the craft market with exhibitors and handmade creations
  • Corso Matteotti – the Expo area dedicated to local businesses, featuring a themed escape room
  • Piazza San Giovanni – from 7:00 PM, an aperitif and rock dinner, with a live performance by a cover band and a grand evening finale
  • Piazza D'Appiano – awareness stands regarding gambling addiction

Tradition and organization

The Trade Festival is organized by Confcommercio Pisa and the Natural Shopping Center of Ponsacco, with the contribution and patronage of the Municipality of Ponsacco and the participation of the Chamber of Commerce of Northwest Tuscany – Terre di Pisa. Over the years, the event has been enriched with ever-changing themes—from the fantasy world to great classics—becoming a defining event for the Ponsacco community and the entire Valdera region. The artistic and technical direction is entrusted to local professionals alongside partners such as OrSound and Laface Events.
