Three nights of food trucks, live music, and games in the heart of the Ernici Mountains
Established in 2022 by the Turris in Fabula cultural association, the Torre Cajetani Street Food Festival has quickly become one of the most anticipated summer events in the area. For three nights in August, the main square of this small village in the province of Frosinone, Lazio, welcomes a selection of food trucks and stalls from across Italy, attracting an ever-growing crowd from Ciociaria and beyond. Year after year, the event has evolved into a true festival that perfectly blends fine food, entertainment, and community spirit.
The heart of the event is the gastronomic area, open every evening from 6 PM. The menu ranges from classic street food to land and sea dishes, including burgers, pizza, regional specialties, and desserts—a culinary journey designed to satisfy every palate, from authentic Italian regional flavors to international influences. The central bar serves as the perfect meeting point, offering beers, cocktails, and drinks throughout the festival.
Each evening is brought to life by a rich entertainment program: live band concerts, late-night DJ sets, themed shows, and showcases for local musical talent. Past editions have featured artists like Gemello and the Brigallè, as well as evenings dedicated to Italian singer-songwriters, alongside art sessions like live painting and book presentations. The 2026 edition also introduced The Night of the Ring, an afternoon dedicated to the world of J.R.R. Tolkien held at the Teofilatto Castle, featuring meetups, role-playing games, and themed music.
The Street Food Festival is designed for all ages, featuring a dedicated children's area and numerous games and tournaments, including beer pong, dodgeball, foot-tennis, punchball, and foosball. It offers a contemporary take on the traditional village fair, where families find space to relax and young people gather for music and socializing.
The festival is also a wonderful opportunity to discover Torre Cajetani, a medieval village of a few hundred inhabitants perched on the Ernici Mountains, just a few kilometers from Fiuggi. The town, named after the powerful Caetani family who once held a castle here, preserves a charming historic center dominated by the Teofilatto Castle, which serves as a backdrop for various side events during the festival. Strolling through the village alleys between tastings and concerts is an essential part of the experience in one of the most fascinating towns in the province of Frosinone and the Lazio region.
From August 7 to 9, 2026, Piazza del Comune in Torre Cajetani hosts the fifth edition of the Street Food Festival, organized by the Turris in Fabula cultural association. Gastronomic stalls and food trucks, open every evening, offer a wide selection of specialties: street food, land and sea dishes, burgers, pizza, and desserts, with the central bar serving beers, cocktails, and drinks throughout the event.
The program kicks off on Friday, August 7, with the official inauguration at 6 PM, followed at 10 PM by the show Febbre Italiana — Viva gli Anni '90, a musical journey through the greatest hits of the decade. Saturday, August 8, features The Night of the Ring: from 4 PM at Teofilatto Castle, an afternoon dedicated to the world of J.R.R. Tolkien with meetups, role-playing games, and themed music, followed at 9:30 PM by a concert from the Brigallè and a late-night DJ set. On Sunday, August 9, from 6 PM, the stage is handed over to the young talents of the Incanto Accademia, while the grand finale features Marco De Vincentiis with a live performance dedicated to the best of Italian singer-songwriter tradition. Each day is complemented by the children's area and game tournaments: beer pong, dodgeball, foot-tennis, punchball, and foosball. Free admission.
