The Pizza d'Cucozza Festival is a young yet deeply felt event, born in 2024 from the desire to rediscover and promote a simple, rustic local recipe, the pumpkin pizza, affectionately known in the local dialect as pizza d'cucozza.

The absolute star of the festival is the pumpkin, a humble and generous ingredient of Ciociaria's rustic cuisine. The pizza d'cucozza is a traditional preparation rooted in Alatri's farming history, when pumpkins—easy to grow and store—became a staple in family autumn recipes.
