About Tor des Géants

The Tor des Géants is one of the toughest and most fascinating ultratrails in the world: 330 kilometers and 24,000 meters of positive elevation gain along the Alte Vie 1 and 2 of the Aosta Valley, to be completed in a single stage in semi-self-sufficiency. Start and finish in Courmayeur, at the foot of Mont Blanc, crossing 34 municipalities and over 25 passes above 2000 meters. A legendary challenge that attracts thousands of athletes from all over the world every September.

The giants' adventure

The Tor des Géants (TOR330) is the flagship event of TORX, the endurance trail circuit of the Aosta Valley. It runs along the historic Alte Vie 1 and 2, for a total of 330 km and 24,000 meters of positive elevation gain, to be tackled in a single stage, in semi-self-sufficiency, within a maximum of 150 hours.

A route that is the entire Aosta Valley

The course crosses 34 municipalities and overcomes over 25 passes above 2000 meters, touching some of the most spectacular alpine landscapes in Europe, in the shadow of the "giants": Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, and Gran Paradiso. Aosta is one of the transit points of the route. The start and finish are in Courmayeur.

Not just TOR330

TORX is not just one race, but an entire trail festival that brings together multiple distances: the TOR450 Tor des Glaciers (450 km), the TOR130 Tot Dret, the TOR100 Cervino-Monte Bianco, and the TOR30 Passage au Malatrà. An entire week in which the Aosta Valley becomes the world capital of ultratrail.

A global challenge

Every year, the Tor des Géants attracts over a thousand athletes selected from thousands of candidates from dozens of countries. More than a race, it is a human experience at the limit, made of effort, solidarity, and a deep bond with the Aosta Valley mountains.
