The 330 km endurance trail that crosses the entire Aosta Valley, at the foot of its giants
The Tor des Géants (TOR330) is the flagship event of TORX, the endurance trail circuit of the Aosta Valley. It runs along the historic Alte Vie 1 and 2, for a total of 330 km and 24,000 meters of positive elevation gain, to be tackled in a single stage, in semi-self-sufficiency, within a maximum of 150 hours.
The course crosses 34 municipalities and overcomes over 25 passes above 2000 meters, touching some of the most spectacular alpine landscapes in Europe, in the shadow of the "giants": Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, and Gran Paradiso. Aosta is one of the transit points of the route. The start and finish are in Courmayeur.
TORX is not just one race, but an entire trail festival that brings together multiple distances: the TOR450 Tor des Glaciers (450 km), the TOR130 Tot Dret, the TOR100 Cervino-Monte Bianco, and the TOR30 Passage au Malatrà. An entire week in which the Aosta Valley becomes the world capital of ultratrail.
Every year, the Tor des Géants attracts over a thousand athletes selected from thousands of candidates from dozens of countries. More than a race, it is a human experience at the limit, made of effort, solidarity, and a deep bond with the Aosta Valley mountains.
The 2026 edition of TORX enlivens the Aosta Valley from September 11th to 20th. The TOR330 Tor des Géants, the queen race of 330 km and 24,000 meters of elevation gain, starts from Courmayeur on Sunday, September 13th in two waves (10:00 AM and 12:00 PM), and athletes have up to 150 hours to cross the finish line, also in Courmayeur.
For 2026, 1100 athletes have been selected from over 1900 candidates from 86 nations, through a lottery with country quotas. The Tor des Géants award ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, September 20th at 11:00 AM at Parco Bollino in Courmayeur.
