Mountain trail towards Becca d'Aver, through the pastures of Torgnon
The Torgnon Pink Trail takes place in Torgnon, a small municipality in Valtournenche, Aosta province, situated on a sunny plateau at over 1,500 meters altitude. Organized by the association ASD 4 Pink Trail, the event was founded in 2021 and has quickly established itself as one of the most popular autumn events in the Aosta Valley running calendar, when the larch trees turn yellow and the pastures offer soft light.
The main trail race unfolds on a loop of approximately 19 km with 1,200 meters of positive elevation gain, starting and finishing in the center of Torgnon. The course crosses the hamlets and pastures of the area, ascending towards the Becca d'Aver, a natural balcony offering exceptional views of the Matterhorn and the great peaks of Valtournenche, before descending back down. Alongside the long race, the Vertical offers a shorter and more intense route, about 8 km with 1,000 meters of elevation gain, finishing in the Monte Meabé area.
The event is not just for athletes: Saturday is dedicated to the Mini Trail delle Teppe, a race for children and teenagers along the paths around the village, designed to introduce young people to mountain running in a festive atmosphere.
The Torgnon Pink Trail is part of the Tour Trail Valle d'Aosta-Vallée d'Aoste circuit, which brings together various mountain running races held throughout the region and awards points for the final standings. Running in Torgnon means becoming part of a larger journey that, edition after edition, showcases the Aosta Valley's passion for trail running and mountain culture.
The Torgnon Pink Trail 2026 returns on Sunday, October 4, on the plateau of Torgnon, in Valtournenche.
