The Top Dolomites Outdoor Festival
In the heart of the Brenta Dolomites, the Top Dolomites Outdoor Festival brings the municipality of Pinzolo, in Val Rendena, to life every year, turning this corner of Trentino-Alto Adige into a true capital of outdoor sports. Originally launched as a road cycling granfondo, the event has grown into a multidisciplinary festival that combines cycling, trail running, and cycle touring into a single mountain experience.
Three days, three disciplines
The festival format spans a long weekend, with a program designed for every type of enthusiast:
- Brenta Bike Experience — a cycle touring route around the Brenta Dolomites, starting and finishing in Pinzolo, passing through Stenico, Molveno, Andalo, Val di Non, Val di Sole, and Madonna di Campiglio.
- Top Dolomites Trail Run — a day dedicated to mountain running, featuring multiple routes through forests, mountain huts, alpine lakes, and high-altitude trails in the Brenta Dolomites.
- Top Dolomites Cycling — the road cycling granfondo that started it all, stretching from Val Rendena to the shores of Lake Garda.
A European-scale event
With athletes participating from numerous European countries and hundreds of volunteers involved in the organization, the Top Dolomites Outdoor Festival is one of the most popular outdoor events in the Trentino Alps. The trail component has joined the Europe Trail Cup continental circuit, confirming the event's international growth.
Sport and territory
Beyond the competitive challenge, the festival serves as a showcase for the Val Rendena and Brenta Dolomites region, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The race and cycle touring routes create an ideal bridge between the Dolomite peaks and Lake Garda, inviting athletes and their companions to discover the landscapes, mountain huts, and hospitality of this part of Trentino. Evenings in Pinzolo complete the experience with celebrations and live music in Piazza San Giacomo.
Top Dolomites — edition 2026
2026 Edition: The Ultra 3Tre novelty
The 2026 edition of the Top Dolomites Outdoor Festival was held in Pinzolo over the weekend of June 5, 6, and 7. The big news was the Ultra 3Tre, the most challenging trail route ever proposed by the event: 61 km with 3,050 meters of elevation gain and 8 aid stations. After the first 33 km shared with the 50 km Ultra Trail, the race tackled an unprecedented section, climbing back up the legendary 3Tre ski slope (Canalone Miramonti) in Madonna di Campiglio in reverse, with gradients of up to 28% and 600 meters of ascent. With this edition, the trail joined the Europe Trail Cup circuit.
The festival was inaugurated on Friday, June 5, by the Brenta Bike Experience, the cycle touring tour around the Brenta Dolomites. Saturday, June 6, was dedicated to the Top Dolomites Trail Run with four routes (10, 22, 50, and 61 km) and, in the evening, the Rebel Rootz concert in Piazza San Giacomo. Sunday, June 7, concluded with the Top Dolomites Cycling granfondo, in the 111 km (passing along the shores of Lake Garda) and 77 km versions.

2026 Program
- Friday, June 5 — Brenta Bike Experience: cycle touring tour starting and finishing in Pinzolo via Stenico, Molveno, Andalo, Val di Non, Val di Sole, and Madonna di Campiglio (bib collection 7:00-8:00, start at 9:00).
- Saturday, June 6 — Top Dolomites Trail Run: Ultra 3Tre 61 km / +3,050 m, Ultra 50 km / +2,560 m, Medium 22 km / +1,310 m, Short 10 km / +670 m. Ultra start at 8:00 from Pinzolo. In the evening (9:30 PM) Rebel Rootz concert in Piazza San Giacomo.
- Sunday, June 7 — Top Dolomites Cycling (granfondo): 111 km long route to the shores of Lake Garda and 77 km medium route returning to Pinzolo via Fiavè.

Getting there
Pinzolo can be reached by car via the A22 Brenner motorway (exit at Trento Centro or San Michele-Mezzocorona) by driving up Val Rendena. The main railway station is Trento, which is connected to Pinzolo by Trentino Trasporti suburban bus lines.
Registration
Registration for the races (trail run, granfondo, bike experience) is available online on the official website topdolomites.it. Places for the Ultra Trail are limited.
Tips
Given the high turnout, it is advisable to book accommodation in Pinzolo, Madonna di Campiglio, or Val Rendena well in advance. Bring technical clothing suitable for the mountains, even in case of variable weather conditions at high altitudes.
