The Dolomitica Run Half Marathon Val Rendena has become a late-summer staple for road running enthusiasts looking to combine a personal best challenge with the beauty of one of Trentino-Alto Adige's most striking landscapes. Organized by the Dolomitica Sport TN association, the event winds through the valley connecting the Adamello-Presanella group to the Brenta Dolomites, an amphitheatre of mountains that accompanies runners throughout the 21-kilometre course.
A fast course along the cycle path
The half marathon route is entirely paved and largely follows the famous Val Rendena cycle path, immersed in nature. The race starts in Pinzolo, on Corso Trento, and from there, it winds through the valley's villages and hamlets—Carisolo, Giustino, Caderzone, Strembo, and Spiazzo—skirting forests and the banks of the Sarca river, between the Carisolo Glassworks and the Piana dei Masi, with views stretching towards the Adamello. The finish line is located on the athletics track of the Sesena Sports Centre in Tione di Trento, where finishers are welcomed with refreshments, a pasta party, and an awards ceremony.
Two distances for everyone
In addition to the 21.0975 km competitive half marathon, the Dolomitica Run offers a 10 km non-competitive run, designed for those seeking a more accessible distance while enjoying the same spectacular scenery as the long race. It is the ideal format for families, walkers, and amateur runners who want to experience the event without the pressure of the clock.
A growing event
Now in its early editions, the event has seen the number of participants grow year after year, attracting athletes from various nations and achieving high-level times on the half marathon distance. Today, the Dolomitica Run is one of the premier road races in the Trentino late-season calendar, capable of attracting both competitive athletes chasing performance and enthusiasts who want to run in an exceptional alpine setting, within the Municipality of Pinzolo and the Autonomous Province of Trento.
Dolomitica Run — edition 2026
6th edition — September 13, 2026
The sixth edition of the Dolomitica Run returns on Sunday, September 13, 2026, with its 21.0975 km half marathon entirely on asphalt along the Val Rendena. The competitive race starts at 10:30 AM from Corso Trento in Pinzolo and concludes on the athletics track of the Sesena Sports Centre in Tione di Trento. Alongside the half marathon, the 10 km non-competitive run is confirmed. The maximum time to complete the half marathon is 3 hours.
The race pack includes a bib with a chip, medical assistance, bag transport, a finisher medal, aid stations every 5 km, a final refreshment point, a pasta party voucher, and a shuttle service for the return to Pinzolo. Registration closes on September 9, 2026 (or upon reaching the maximum number of participants).

Sunday, September 13
- 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM — Bib collection at Paladolomiti, Pinzolo
- 9:30 AM — Start of the 10 km non-competitive Val Rendena run
- 10:30 AM — Start of the 6th Dolomitica Run Half Marathon (21.0975 km), Corso Trento, Pinzolo
- Upon arrival at the Sesena Sports Centre (Tione di Trento) — refreshments and pasta party at the bocce court, Sesena area
- 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM — Shuttle service for the return to Pinzolo
- 1:30 PM — Awards ceremony at the Sesena Sports Centre
Route: entirely on asphalt along the Val Rendena cycle path, from Pinzolo towards Carisolo, Giustino, Caderzone, Strembo, and Spiazzo, along the woods of the Sarca river up to Tione di Trento.

Practical information — Dolomitica Run
Getting there
Pinzolo can be reached by car via the SS239 Val Rendena road; from Trento, follow the Valle dei Laghi and Val Rendena route (approx. 1 hour and 30 minutes). The start is on Corso Trento, and race pack collection is at the Paladolomiti in Piazza San Giacomo.
Race pack collection
At the Paladolomiti in Pinzolo: Saturday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Sunday morning from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Shuttle service
At the end of the race, a shuttle service is available for the return from Tione di Trento (finish) to Pinzolo (start).
