About Paganella Open Weekend

The Paganella Open Weekend kicks off the winter season on the Paganella Plateau, in the heart of the Trentino Dolomites, with three days dedicated to inclusive sports and accessible mountain activities. Organized by Visit Paganella and based in Andalo, the event features ski lessons with monoski and dualski equipment, snowshoeing with mountain guides, and horse-drawn carriage rides, with free ski passes, rentals, and adaptive equipment for people with disabilities. A weekend designed to ensure everyone can experience the thrill of the snow.

A barrier-free mountain in Paganella

The Paganella Open Weekend is the event that inaugurates the winter season on the Paganella Plateau, in the municipality of Andalo, in the province of Trento and the heart of the Trentino-Alto Adige region. For three days, this Dolomite mountain destination transforms into a major hub for inclusion, where sport becomes a tool for freedom and everyone, with or without disabilities, can experience the thrill of the snow and the peaks of the Brenta Group.

Inclusive sports at the heart of the experience

The core of the event is a program of accessible activities led by specialized instructors and professionals. On the slopes of the Paganella ski area, ski lessons with dedicated adaptive equipment, such as monoski and dualski, allow even those with physical disabilities to glide down the snowy trails in total safety. The plateau offers a 360-degree experience amidst its stunning alpine landscapes.

  • Ski lessons with monoski and dualski alongside ski school instructors
  • Snowshoeing through snowy forests in the company of mountain guides
  • Horse-drawn carriage rides across the plateau
  • Social gatherings with music and aperitifs in mountain huts

Free access and inclusion

One of the distinctive aspects of the Paganella Open Weekend is its commitment to solidarity: all proposed experiences, as well as ski passes, equipment rentals, and adaptive aids, are free for people with disabilities. The only cost for participants is their accommodation. The commitment to a welcoming mountain environment continues beyond the event: thanks to the collaboration with local ski schools, the adaptive equipment remains available for free throughout the entire winter season.

The Paganella territory

The Paganella Plateau, with Andalo and the nearby towns overlooking Lake Molveno and the Brenta Dolomites, is one of the most beloved destinations in Trentino for winter holidays. The Paganella Open Weekend showcases a different way of experiencing the mountains, where hospitality and inclusion are at the center of the regional tourism offer, promoted by the Visit Paganella consortium.

Paganella Open Weekend — edition 2026
