Terre Mascagnane: great music leaves the theaters

Terre Mascagnane is the touring project that the Mascagni Festival dedicates to the Etruscan Coast, taking the notes and legacy of Livorno-born composer Pietro Mascagni beyond traditional stages to embrace the scenic and historical beauty of this stretch of Tuscany. Created in collaboration with the municipalities of Cecina, Castagneto Carducci, and Bibbona, and supported by Toscana Promozione Turistica, the project offers three events between June and August, all with free admission.

The Castagneto Carducci stop

In the heart of the province of Livorno, the Municipality of Castagneto Carducci hosts one of the most anticipated evenings. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 9:30 PM, the Viale dei Cavalleggeri in Marina di Castagneto Carducci becomes an open-air stage, just steps from the sea. It is the perfect opportunity to combine an evening of classical music with the relaxed atmosphere of the Tuscan coast in midsummer.

The show: a dialogue out of time

The undisputed star of the evening is the eclectic actor and impressionist Leonardo Fiaschi, who guides the audience on an emotional and ironic journey titled "Mascagni, Puccini, Morricone - A Dialogue Out of Time". The show, with a script by Leonardo Fiaschi and Marco Voleri, proposes an original and imaginary encounter between three giants of Italian and world musical culture: Pietro Mascagni, Giacomo Puccini, and Ennio Morricone. A path that traverses different eras and languages, from the late 19th-century melodrama to the film scores that made history.
