Three days of flavor, wisdom, and music in the village of Castelluzzo
"Terr'eMare – Castelluzzo: Knowledge and Flavors" is a food and wine event taking place in the village of Castelluzzo, part of the municipality of San Vito Lo Capo, in the province of Trapani, at the northwestern tip of Sicily. For three days, Piazza Don Vito Barraco transforms into an "open-air village of taste," where food, identity, and memory intertwine in a convivial, community-focused atmosphere. Organized by ASC Castelluzzo with the support of the Municipality of San Vito Lo Capo, the festival was created as an intimate, local alternative to large-scale events, highlighting the bond between the land, the sea, and the region's rural traditions.
The common thread of Terr'eMare is the story of typical Sicilian products: stone-ground ancient grains, extra virgin olive oil from local groves, almonds—a staple of local pastry—and pesto alla trapanese. Each edition pairs showcooking sessions featuring local chefs and producers with cultural and scientific talks dedicated to organic farming, nutrition, and rural heritage. Over the years, the festival has solidified its partnership with Slow Food Trapani, confirming the project's commitment to protecting biodiversity and local supply chains.
Alongside the culinary offerings, the evenings at Terr'eMare feature cabaret, live concerts, DJ sets, and entertainment, with the traditional Vespa and Lambretta rally closing the event. The formula combines food and wine appreciation with fun, making the village square the beating heart of Castelluzzo's summer life. It is an appointment that attracts both residents and tourists visiting San Vito Lo Capo and the nearby Zingaro Nature Reserve.
More than just a food festival, Terr'eMare is designed as an "open-air salon" where food, identity, and memory blend in an intimate, family-like atmosphere, far removed from mass-market events. The festival aims to involve producers, chefs, artisans, and local residents in a collective narrative of the territory: from the extra virgin oil of local groves to ancient grains used for premium flours, and the almonds that are essential ingredients in Sicilian pastry and pesto alla trapanese. Castelluzzo, overlooking the Gulf of Cofano and just a few kilometers from the famous beach of San Vito Lo Capo, provides a natural backdrop for an event that seeks to strengthen the bond between the village, its people, and their rural and maritime roots.
From July 3 to 5, 2026, the village of Castelluzzo hosts the third edition of Terr'eMare in Piazza Don Vito Barraco. Every evening, starting at 7:30 PM, the "Little Village of Taste" opens, hosted by Giuseppe Scuderi with the collaboration of Slow Food Trapani.
Friday, July 3 – Showcooking on busiate pasta with pesto alla trapanese featuring Hajer Aissi (Cantina Siciliana), Nino Grammatico (Oasi da Paolo), and Giovanni Torrente; cabaret with Alessandro Gandolfo and live music with Atmosfera Blu.
Saturday, July 4 – Talk on organic farming and nutrition with nutritionist Giovanna Tranchida; followed by a 90s DJ set with Radio Time 90.
Sunday, July 5 – Vespa and Lambretta rally with the Motoclub Falchi Ericini; talk on almonds with nutritionist Eleonora Grammatico; almond pastry showcooking with Pamela Leo (Pasticceria Capriccio) and a final concert by Jack & the Starlighters featuring rock, pop, and R&B.
