Two days dedicated to homemade pasta at Parco Verdevolo in Cadriano
In the heart of the Bolognese plain, the Tagliatella Festival in Cadriano is one of those events that tell the gastronomic soul of Emilia-Romagna better than a thousand words. We are in Cadriano, a hamlet of the Municipality of Granarolo dell'Emilia, in the Province of Bologna, where every summer the Parco Verdevolo comes alive with the aromas of ragù, soffritto, and hand-rolled pasta.
The absolute protagonist is her, tagliatelle: the egg pasta that is almost an identity symbol in Bologna, made with thinly rolled and hand-cut dough. At the festival, it is served, as tradition dictates, "for all tastes and with many toppings": from the classic Bolognese ragù to seasonal variations, in a menu designed to please both adults and children. Alongside the main pasta dish, the evenings usually also offer other specialties of Emilian cuisine and unmissable homemade desserts.
The festival is organized by the Campus Adriani association, a local entity that enlivens the social and cultural life of Cadriano, in collaboration with Ancescao. The proceeds and the energy of the volunteers support the activities of the association, which manages the hamlet's civic center. It is a festival born from the grassroots, from the desire to be together around a table, and it attracts residents of Granarolo and neighboring municipalities in the Metropolitan City of Bologna.
For those who want to discover authentic Emilia-Romagna, far from the most touristy circuits, the Tagliatella Festival of Cadriano is the perfect opportunity to sit down at the table with the locals and taste a dish that here is much more than just pasta.
The festival takes place at Parco Verdevolo in Cadriano (Granarolo dell'Emilia, BO), with free admission.
