A street food village featuring flavors from five continents in the heart of Syracuse
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
International Street Food is Italy's largest touring event dedicated to street food, and with every edition, it chooses Syracuse as one of its most anticipated stops in Sicily. The festival takes place along Via Agatocle, in the Piazza Euripide area, which for a few days turns into a true open-air gourmet village, enlivened by dozens of food trucks and stalls from all over the peninsula and abroad.
The format follows the successful national festival model: a culinary journey that invites you on a true world tour. Italian offerings include Abruzzese arrosticini, Neapolitan fried pizza, Apulian bombette, Cinta Senese burgers, and porchetta d'Ariccia. Alongside these local delicacies, international flavors take center stage: Argentine and Mexican cuisine, Spanish paella, Hungarian kürtős, and American pulled pork. To complete the experience, there is a rich selection of Italian and international craft beers.
The event is conceived and organized by A.I.R.S. - Associazione Italiana Ristoratori di Strada, chaired by Alfredo Orofino, known as the "King of Street Food" and a familiar face from the TV show "Il Trono del Gusto". In Syracuse, the event is held in collaboration with Confartigianato Imprese Siracusa and is supported by the Municipality of Syracuse. The stated goal is to combine quality, variety, and conviviality, enhancing urban spaces while supporting local commerce and tourism.
In the heart of the city of Syracuse, Sicily, the International Street Food festival offers a celebration open to everyone: families, young people, and food enthusiasts gather among the stalls until late at night in an atmosphere of cultural exchange built around the table. Admission is free, making the event a popular and accessible appointment, perfect for discovering global street food without leaving the city center.
As a traveling festival, International Street Food visits numerous Italian cities every year, and Syracuse is a permanent stop on the tour. While some exhibitors and offerings change with each edition, the formula that has made the festival famous throughout Italy remains the same.
The dates for the 2026 edition of International Street Food in Syracuse have not yet been announced. Based on previous editions, the Syracuse stop of the national touring festival typically takes place in December along Via Agatocle (Piazza Euripide area), featuring dozens of food trucks and stalls dedicated to Italian and international street food, along with a selection of craft beers.
We recommend checking the official A.I.R.S. and Municipality of Syracuse channels to find out the final dates, times, and program as soon as they are made public.
