Great chamber music in the historic Concert Hall of Pinerolo, from October to April
The Pinerolo Academy of Music Concert Season is one of the most anticipated events in the Piedmont musical calendar. For 2026/27, the series adopts the title “Dedicata”: a clear homage to Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert, whose death bicentenaries occur in 2027 and 2028 respectively. From October to April, the Academy's historic Concert Hall, located at Viale Giovanni Giolitti 7 in Pinerolo, hosts a sequence of chamber music concerts that has few equals in the entire Metropolitan City of Turin.
The program weaves together big names from the global chamber music scene and young concert performers already established in major competitions. The season opens with a recital by American pianist Richard Goode, considered one of the greatest living Beethoven interpreters. Throughout the months, prestigious ensembles such as the Trio Debussy, the Quartetto Ardeo, the Marchegiani-Schiavo duo, the Quartetto d'Archi di Torino, the Ensemble Astrée, and soloists like Benedetto Lupo, Gabriele Carcano, and flutist Jasmine Choi will take the stage. A highly anticipated rarity is the performance of Schubert's Schwanengesang lieder cycle, entrusted to the duo Hanno Müller-Brachmann and Gabriele Carcano, while a three-year project dedicated to Schubert's piano four-hands music begins.
The Fondazione Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo e Torino has been a benchmark for high-level musical training and the dissemination of the chamber repertoire for decades. Its Concert Hall, intimate and with refined acoustics, offers a close-up, high-quality listening experience: the audience sits just a few meters from the performers, in an atmosphere that brings classical music back to the domestic dimension for which many of these works were conceived.
Every event is accompanied by “Inseguire le note” (Chasing the Notes) presentation meetings, brief listening guides that introduce the evening's program free of charge. The series thus confirms its educational vocation, designed both for the most expert enthusiasts and for those approaching chamber music for the first time. In Pinerolo, at the foot of the Piedmontese valleys, the “Dedicata” Concert Season is an invitation to rediscover the great masterpieces of the classical and romantic repertoire.
