The summer festival in Murello

The Summer Nights, also known as the Beer Festival, are one of the most anticipated events in Murello, a small town in the Savigliano plains in the province of Cuneo, in the heart of Piedmont. For three consecutive nights, the Via Calandra sports field is transformed into a large festival space, with a covered marquee hosting dining and musical evenings. Admission is free, and the atmosphere is that typical of Piedmontese village festivals: convivial, popular, and open to all ages.

A festival powered by the Pro Loco

The true driving force behind the event is the Murello Pro Loco, supported by the Pro Loco associations of neighboring towns: Scarnafigi, Faule, Cavallerleone, Ruffia, and Villanova Solaro. This network of volunteers brings the festival to life, serving as a concrete example of collaboration between small communities in the Cuneo plains. The signature dish is the Murellotto, a burger with a sesame bun, Piedmontese Fassona beef, vegetables, cheddar, and caramelized onions, paired with a rich selection of draft beers.

The three-night program

• Friday, June 12 – Mangirula evening dedicated to street food: from 8:00 PM, six Pro Loco associations offer their specialties under the marquee. At 10:00 PM, on the sports field, a concert by the band Divina, followed by a DJ set.
• Saturday, June 13 – from 7:30 PM, the kitchen opens with appetizers, the Murellotto, sandwiches, desserts, and beers; in the evening, a Foam Party with entertainment by Radio Bruno.
• Sunday, June 14 – another evening of dining from 7:30 PM, and at 8:30 PM, the play in Piedmontese "Gli uomini... che delusion!", a cabaret show in the local dialect tradition.

Gastronomy and tradition

Summer Nights perfectly captures the identity of the region: craft and draft beer, quality street food prepared by volunteers, Fassona beef, and typical products of the Cuneo plains. The closing with theater in Piedmontese adds a note of popular tradition to the festival, celebrating the local language and culture. It is the ideal opportunity to discover an authentic corner of Piedmont away from the tourist circuits, in the company of the residents of Murello and neighboring towns.
