Street Food - Sapori Antichi is the gastronomic event that brings the village of Montelepre, in the province of Palermo, to life every year at the end of August. Promoted by the municipal administration together with the Pro Loco Montelepre, the festival was created to celebrate street food and local products, rediscovering the ancient flavors of Sicilian culinary tradition in a welcoming, grassroots atmosphere.
The heart of the event is the gastronomic trail set up along the streets and in Piazzale Portella della Ginestra, where stalls offer the best of the island's street food. Among the most beloved specialties are:

Beyond the gastronomy, Street Food - Sapori Antichi is a true village festival: the evenings are accompanied by live music, DJ sets, cabaret, folk performances, and plenty of entertainment. Ample space is reserved for families, with entertainment and activities for children, making the event suitable for all ages.
Nestled on the heights overlooking the Palermo plain, Montelepre is a village in the hinterland of the province of Palermo, Sicily, rich in history and folk traditions. The event represents one of the most cherished summer appointments for the community and an opportunity for visitors and tourists to discover an authentic corner of the island, far from the beaten path, through its food and wine heritage.

By car: Montelepre can be reached from the A29 Palermo-Mazara del Vallo motorway, taking the Carini-Montelepre exit and continuing inland. By train: the nearest station is Carini, on the Palermo-Trapani line, from where you can continue by bus or taxi. The reference airport is Palermo-Punta Raisi (Falcone-Borsellino).
Admission to the event area is free; tastings are paid for at individual stalls. The evenings take place from approximately 6:00 PM until late at night. 2026 dates and program to be confirmed on the official Pro Loco channels.
