A festival under the stars on the Palermo coast

The Insula Fimis Festival is the summer live performance series in Isola delle Femmine, a small coastal town in the Province of Palermo, Sicily, overlooking the island of the same name and the gulf just a few miles from the regional capital. Every year, between late August and September, the festival transforms the Piazza Vincenzo Enea theatre arena, in the Piano Ponente district, into an open-air stage featuring a mix of theatre, cabaret, musicals, and major tribute concerts.

A multidisciplinary and popular programme

The event's strength lies in its varied programme, designed for a broad, family-oriented audience. Evenings feature theatrical and comedy performances, cabaret shows with well-known faces from the Sicilian and national scene, and tribute concerts dedicated to the greatest names in Italian and international music. Shows generally start at 9:15 PM and are free to attend, a factor that has contributed to its massive success: in recent editions, the arena has been sold out night after night.

Artistic direction and organisation

The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Isola delle Femmine in collaboration with the Pro Loco, under the artistic direction of Franco Zappalà, an actor and director from Palermo. The formula combines quality entertainment with local promotion, integrating seamlessly into the town's wider summer calendar.
