The food and wine festival that fills the streets of Borgetto with Sicilian scents and traditions
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In Borgetto, a small town of just over seven thousand inhabitants overlooking the Gulf of Castellammare in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, the streets of the center come alive for Le Vie dei Sapori: a food and wine event that fills the alleys and squares of the town with scents, colors, and voices for a weekend. It is a festival celebrating the excellence of Sicilian cuisine, designed for residents and visitors alike who want to discover the authentic taste of this corner of Sicily.
The heart of the event consists of food stalls set up along the streets of the historic center. Here, you can taste products that tell the story of the agricultural economy of Borgetto and its territory: cheeses, meats, extra virgin olive oil, local wines, and traditional sweets, alongside the essential specialties of Palermitan street food such as panelle, arancine, and cazzilli. It is a culinary journey that highlights the local production of a town historically linked to agriculture, livestock, and the cultivation of olives, citrus fruits, grapes, and vegetables.
Beyond the tastings, Le Vie dei Sapori offers live music, performances, and entertainment that accompany the evenings, creating the typical atmosphere of Sicilian village festivals. It is a convivial event where strolling among the stalls becomes an opportunity to meet up, listen to music, and breathe in the identity of a community celebrating its own gastronomic traditions.
Situated 290 meters above sea level, near Partinico, Montelepre, and Giardinello, Borgetto is known for the Sanctuary of Maria Santissima del Romitello and for a rich calendar of popular festivals that mark the year, from the patronal feast of Saint Mary Magdalene in July to the Christmas festival of local products. Le Vie dei Sapori fits perfectly into this town's tradition of celebration and sharing, putting the table and the flavors of the province of Palermo at the center of the experience.
At the moment, the official dates and the detailed program for Le Vie dei Sapori of Borgetto 2026 have not yet been published. Based on previous editions, the event takes place in autumn and offers, over a weekend, a culinary journey through the streets of the historic center of the town in the province of Palermo: food stalls with typical Sicilian products, tastings, live music, and performances. The program will be updated as soon as the organizers announce the details on the dedicated Facebook page.
The event takes place throughout the streets and squares of the historic center of Borgetto (PA), in Sicily.
By car from Palermo, take the A29 motorway towards Trapani and exit at Partinico/Borgetto; the drive takes about 30-40 minutes. The reference train station is in the neighboring town of Partinico. The nearest airport is the Falcone-Borsellino Airport in Palermo-Punta Raisi.
Access to the event area is free; tastings and products purchased at the food stalls are paid for according to the individual exhibitors' price lists.
