StradAmare: street performers on the Pulsano seafront

StradAmare is the event that transforms the seafront of Marina di Pulsano, on the Ionian coast in the province of Taranto, into an open-air stage every summer. The slogan chosen by the organizers — "Artists & Enchantment on the seaside road" — perfectly captures the spirit of the event: there is no traditional stage here, but rather a road that comes alive and a sea that serves as the backdrop for the stories told by street performers.

A traveling parade along the coast

The heart of StradAmare is a traveling parade that winds along the entire seafront, passing through the most popular beach clubs of Marina di Pulsano — Le Canne, Montedarena, and Baia Verde — along the route connecting Piazza Mia Martini to Montedarena. The audience follows the artists step by step, immersed in an atmosphere suspended between a show and an evening stroll by the sea.

Aerial dance, juggling, and wonder

Leading the evening is the Compagnia Pachamama, a group active for over thirty years in street theater. Along the route, there are fixed stations dedicated to aerial dance, suspended between sky and sea, and juggling, alongside acrobats, clowns, and moments of poetry and music. In some editions, the festival has concluded with fireworks displays along the coast.

An event celebrating the sea and the Blue Flag

StradAmare was also born as a celebration of the clean sea: the event is linked to the Blue Flag award achieved by the Municipality of Pulsano, a symbol of the quality of its waters and beaches. Organized by the Associazione Pulsano d'Amare, it is part of the rich calendar of the Pulsano summer, which enlivens the town and its marina between July and August with art, entertainment, and tradition in the heart of the Ionian Puglia region.

2026 Edition

The dates for the 2026 edition of StradAmare have not yet been announced by the organizers. The event is traditionally held on an evening in late July in Marina di Pulsano: the detailed program will be communicated by the Associazione Pulsano d'Amare closer to the summer.
