A day of color, music, and community in the heart of Bruino
The Spring Festival is one of the most cherished events in Bruino, a small town on the western outskirts of Turin, in Piedmont. Organized by the Municipality in collaboration with the Pro Loco Bruino and numerous local associations, it is a day that transforms the town center into a large shared space where commerce, gastronomy, art, and entertainment intertwine to welcome the new season.
The event is spread across the town's four main hubs, each with its own identity:
The program reflects the participatory spirit of the festival: the photography and painting competition is curated by the Scatti e Colori association, while musical and dance performances involve groups such as the Polisportiva Bruinese, the MusicAmica choir, Unitre, and Dancing A School. Working alongside them are many other local associations — from the Compania del Tokaij to the Gruppo Alpini di Bruino, and the Auser — confirming that this day is, above all, a celebration of the entire community.
Among the most popular initiatives is the barter game, which invites children in the Parco del Castello to trade toys and items they no longer use, in an event that combines fun, social interaction, and a focus on reuse. The festival is free and open to all, making it ideal for a family Sunday outdoors in the heart of Bruino.
The Spring Festival takes place on a Sunday in May, generally from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Dates may be subject to change in case of bad weather.
Bruino is located about 20 km west of Turin. By car, it can be reached via the SP143 or the Turin ring road, taking the exit towards Orbassano and Piossasco. It is connected to Turin by public transport via metropolitan area bus lines.
Admission to the event is free. Any purchases at street food stalls or market stands are paid.
