Rivalta's major market exhibition featuring the town's first vegan festival
The Spring Fair is one of the most beloved and long-standing events on the calendar of Rivalta di Torino, a town in the Turin metropolitan area of Piedmont. For decades, as the warm season arrives, the streets and squares of the historic center fill with stalls, colors, and scents for a grand commercial and craft market that attracts visitors from across the southern belt of Turin.
The 2026 edition marks the 39th year of the fair and introduces an important new feature: the arrival of RiVeg, the first Rivalta festival dedicated entirely to plant-based nutrition, which runs alongside the traditional exhibition on the same day.
The day offers a rich program spread throughout the center. Among the usual offerings of the Spring Fair, you will find:
The big news is RiVeg, conceived by the Montessoricordi association with the idea of bringing plant-based cuisine out of specialized circles and into a popular context accessible to everyone. The festival features food stalls with local plant-based dishes, tastings, live cooking shows, meetings with health professionals, and insights into sustainability and responsible supply chains. An occasion designed not only for those who already follow a vegan diet but for families, the curious, and food enthusiasts.
The fair is also an opportunity to discover the heritage of Rivalta: during the day, guided tours of the Castello degli Orsini and Casa Camosso are scheduled, curated by the Rivalta Millenaria association, which tell the thousand-year history of the village. The event is organized by the Municipality of Rivalta di Torino together with the Consorzio Procom and numerous local associations, from the Pro Loco to the Famiglia Rivaltese.
The 2026 edition celebrated the 39th Spring Fair and inaugurated RiVeg, the first Rivalta festival dedicated to plant-based cuisine, set up in the market square. In the streets of the center, over a hundred stalls of crafts, food and wine, and hobbyists alternated with street food areas, floral displays, and the bonsai exhibition.
The program included guided tours of the Castello degli Orsini every 30 minutes from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and of Casa Camosso, creative workshops for children (10:30-11:30 AM and 3:30-4:30 PM), dance performances with Ippo Dance, puppets, juggling, and folk dances with Artefolk, as well as the touch tennis tournament and the opening of the Fire Department barracks.
The fair takes place on a Sunday in late March, with continuous hours from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
