Three days of street food, pizzica, and Apulian traditions in Piazza Gerbidi
Every year, the "Viva la Puglia" Apulian Festival brings the flavors, sounds, and colors of the "heel of Italy" to Rivalta di Torino, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont. For three days, Piazza Gerbidi becomes a corner of the South: a large village festival dedicated to Apulian culture, regional food and wine, and the folklore of Salento and Murgia.
The event is conceived and organized by Cucina di Puglia, a group that brings the excellence of Southern Italy to Northern Italy. The event has free admission and is aimed at an audience of all ages, from families and tourists to enthusiasts of popular traditions.
The heart of the festival is the gastronomic area, a true showcase of Apulian specialties. Among the stalls, you will find the great classics of Southern cuisine:
A covered area with tables and seating allows you to enjoy the dishes at your leisure, for lunch or dinner, in a warm and convivial atmosphere.
There is no Apulian festival without pizzica: the event offers dance workshops open to everyone, live concerts, and taranta performances, symbols of the vibrant popular culture of Salento. Tambourines, accordions, and singing accompany the evenings, with moments of direct audience participation in the dances in the square.
Alongside food and music, the Apulian Festival in Rivalta offers workshops and activities for families, including handmade pasta demonstrations led by Apulian grandmothers. It is an opportunity to discover the ancient techniques of Southern cooking and experience Puglia even far from the sea. Included in the Estate a Rivalta (Summer in Rivalta) program, the event is one of the most anticipated appointments of the season in the Province of Turin.
Dal 19 al 21 giugno 2026 Piazza Gerbidi a Rivalta di Torino ospita la nuova edizione della Festa Pugliese, organizzata da Cucina di Puglia all'interno del cartellone Estate a Rivalta.
