Collegno's music season featuring classical, jazz, gospel, blues, and world music
The Sale&Pepe Music Festival has become a staple of the autumn, winter, and spring calendar in Collegno, a bustling town in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont. Now in its 15th edition for the 2025-2026 season, the festival hosts concerts from November through June, offering a program that effortlessly shifts between genres: from classical music to gospel, jazz to blues, and singer-songwriter sets to world music.
The heart of the festival beats in two of the city's iconic landmarks. The first is the Lavanderia a Vapore on Corso Pastrengo 51, an ancient building from the former psychiatric complex now converted into a regional dance and cultural center. The second is the Auditorium Giovanni Arpino on Via Bussoleno 50, named after the writer who lived in Collegno for many years. The grand finale moves outdoors to the Parco della Certosa Reale for the summer solstice Festa della Musica.
Sale&Pepe is promoted by the Municipality of Collegno in partnership with the Cooperativa Sociale 3e60 and a network of local musical organizations: the Accademia Musicale Sabauda, the Orchestra Fiati Città di Collegno, Professional Drum, La Ritmica, and ACMS. Media coverage is provided by Radio Agorà 21, the local station that closely follows the festival. This community-driven approach sets Sale&Pepe apart from top-down events; the protagonists are often local musicians and ensembles, joined by renowned guest artists.
Over the years, the festival has hosted notable acts such as Banda Osiris, the Zucchero Acoustic Quartet, and the Giampaolo Petrini Big Band & Voices, alternating them with choirs, wind orchestras, and youth groups. The philosophy is to make music accessible to everyone: ticket prices remain low, between 5 and 13 euros, and numerous events—starting with the Festa della Musica—are completely free.
For those living in the Turin metropolitan area, Sale&Pepe is a chance to enjoy high-quality musical programming without traveling to the city's major theaters or spending a fortune. For visitors, it offers an authentic window into the cultural life of Collegno and its architectural treasures, starting with the former Certosa Reale complex.
The 15th edition (2025-2026) of the Sale&Pepe Music Festival unfolds throughout the cold and spring seasons, with a crescendo of events between March and June 2026. The program alternates between the two historic venues — the Lavanderia a Vapore and the Auditorium Giovanni Arpino — before concluding outdoors in the Parco della Certosa Reale with the summer solstice Festa della Musica. Tickets remain accessible, ranging from 5 to 13 euros, with several free-admission events.
The first part of the season (November 2025 – January 2026) featured guests such as the Zucchero Acoustic Quartet (January 24, 2026, Auditorium Arpino, sold out).
Collegno is connected to Turin by Metro Line 1 (Fermi and Certosa stops). By car, take the Turin ring road (tangenziale) and exit at Collegno. The Lavanderia a Vapore is located at Corso Pastrengo 51, and the Auditorium Giovanni Arpino is at Via Bussoleno 50.
Paid concerts cost between 5 and 13 euros; several events, such as the Festa della Musica on June 21st at the Parco della Certosa Reale, are free of charge. Advance tickets and information are available through the Culture Office of the Municipality of Collegno and the Mailticket platform.
