The Village of the Snail
The Snail Festival in Cantalupo, a hamlet of Bevagna in the province of Perugia, has been a benchmark for lovers of traditional Umbrian cuisine for decades. Snail Festival — edition 2026
The 47th edition of the Snail Festival will liven up Cantalupo di Bevagna from August 21st to 30th, 2026. The Pro Loco Cantalupo Castelbuono will serve every evening specialties based on aspersa snails, cooked according to local peasant tradition, along with other dishes and local products, primarily oil and wine. Throughout the event, the Centro Polivalente will host exhibitions, craft displays, and typical product showcases.

How to get there
Cantalupo is a hamlet of Bevagna (PG), reachable by car from the SS3 Flaminia or the SS316 dei Monti Martani. The nearest train station is Foligno (Rome-Ancona line). Parking is available near the Centro Polivalente.
Gastronomic Stand
The Pro Loco stand is open every evening for the entire duration of the festival. Reservations are recommended on days with higher attendance.
