The Showtime with the Vollmondband is one of the most characteristic summer events in Steinegg, a village in the municipality of Karneid, in the province of Bolzano, in the heart of the Eggental valley. On the covered stage of the Festplatz, overlooking the Bolzano basin and surrounded by the backdrop of the Dolomites, the Vollmondband offers a show that weaves together live music and cabaret, designed to entertain audiences of all ages.

Sax Martl and the Vollmondband

The heart of the show is Sax Martl, the stage name of Martin Resch, a multi-instrumentalist musician originally from Steinegg: saxophone, piano, bass, guitar, clarinet, drums, trumpet, and accordion are all part of his repertoire. After seven years with the international band The Alpine Yuppies, he has pursued a solo career since 2003 and is also known for his performances at the Munich Oktoberfest. The Vollmondband — the "full moon band" — is the ensemble of musicians and performers that has accompanied him for about twenty-five years, combining musical pieces with theatrical cabaret elements.
