Shock da Ground – 3x3 Streetball is the 3x3 basketball event that brings Piazza della Vittoria in Marsala, in the province of Trapani, western Sicily, to life every summer. For four days, the square transforms into a large open-air playground, with courts set up in the city center, spectator stands, and an atmosphere reminiscent of American urban streetball.

A stop on the national Estathé 3x3 Italia circuit

The event is the only Sicilian stage of the prestigious Estathé 3x3 Italia Streetball circuit, organized by the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP). It is a Master tournament of the Elite circuit, qualifying for the national Finals, which attracts teams and athletes from all over Italy. Alongside the Master tournament, the FIP regional youth finals are also held, where young Sicilian basketball players compete for a spot in the national category finals.

Sport, music, and show

Shock da Ground is more than just a sports competition: it is a true urban festival that blends basketball with music, entertainment, and live shows. Between matches, there are NBA-style prize games with audience giveaways, the presence of the mascot Estatheo who energizes the arena and awards the finalists, and an area dedicated to the little ones with mini-basketball hoops. A format designed to involve not only basketball fans but the entire Marsala community and the many tourists visiting the city during the summer.

An event for the city and its youth

Promoted by the Municipality of Marsala in collaboration with the FIP Sicily Regional Committee, the event confirms Marsala's vocation as a city capable of combining sport, social life, and the enhancement of its urban spaces. The choice of Piazza della Vittoria, one of the most popular squares in the center, makes the tournament accessible and free for everyone, helping to enliven the summer evenings of the Lilibetan capital.
