About Sarzana DOC
Wine at the heart of the city
Sarzana DOC is the event that celebrates the wine excellences of the region in the heart of Sarzana (Province of La Spezia). Along Via Gramsci, Via Bertoloni, and Piazza Luni, about twenty wineries offer their wines for tasting, featuring both historic producers and new realities from Eastern Liguria and Lunigiana.
Not just wine: the flavours of the region
Alongside the glasses, the event showcases local gastronomic products: the mussels from the Gulf of La Spezia brought by fishermen, the meats from Lunigiana, and the unmissable oysters, served by dedicated food trucks. A combination that tells the food and wine identity of this corner of Liguria bordering Tuscany.
A project by Consorzio Sarzana Vitae
The event is organised by the Consorzio Sarzana Vitae, an organisation that has grown in just a few years to count about ninety members, with the support of the municipal administration. Tastings take place in the evening, when the historic centre comes alive and becomes the ideal stage to discover the wines of the region in a convivial atmosphere.
Sarzana DOC — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Sarzana DOC enlivens the historic centre on June 13 and 14. Along Via Gramsci, Via Bertoloni, and Piazza Luni, about twenty wineries — including Bosoni, Lambruschi, Terenzuola, Il Cigno, and Consorzio Cinque Terre — offer their wines for tasting from 6 PM to 11 PM. Accompanying the wines are the mussels from the Gulf brought by fishermen, the meats from Lunigiana, and oysters. Organised by Consorzio Sarzana Vitae.

Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14 — Historic Centre (Via Gramsci, Via Bertoloni, Piazza Luni)
- 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM — Tastings with about twenty local wineries (Bosoni, Lambruschi, Terenzuola, Il Cigno, Consorzio Cinque Terre, and others)
- Food trucks with mussels from the Gulf of La Spezia (local fishermen)
- Food trucks with meats from Lunigiana (Nicholas Lombardi butcher shop)
- Oyster stand

How to get there
By train: Sarzana station on the Genoa–La Spezia–Pisa line. By car: A12 or A15 motorway, Sarzana exit. Tastings take place along Via Gramsci, Via Bertoloni, and in Piazza Luni.
Tastings
Tastings from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Tasting glass costs 3.50 euros per person.
