In Arba, the festival that tells the story of the territory through taste and knowledge
There's a different way to tell the story of a place: not just through its dishes, but also through the people, the knowledge, and the skills that inhabit it. This is the idea behind Sapori e Saperi, the three-day event in Arba, a village in the foothills of Pordenone, which combines taste and knowledge in a program that goes far beyond the classic food festival.
The weekend revolves around Piazza IV Novembre and focuses on local products: a market of local artisans and producers, zero-waste cooking demonstrations, and a lunch featuring local cuisine. The walking aspect is also present, with the guided walk "Silent Traces", a route of about 7 km through rural environments and ancient paths.
Sapori e Saperi also dedicates space to reflection and well-being: evening talks in the library on energy communities and local development, exploring the link between agriculture and energy, and activities such as yoga and fitness. Organized by Pro Loco Arba with the support of the Municipality of Arba (Province of Pordenone), it is an event that intertwines food and wine, sustainability, culture, and community life.
The 2026 edition of Sapori e Saperi is scheduled from May 22 to 24 in Arba, with its heart in Piazza IV Novembre. Three days that tell the story of the territory through products, people, and skills, organized by Pro Loco Arba.
The 2026 program includes:
How to get there: Arba is located in the foothills of Pordenone, reachable from Maniago and Spilimbergo; reference highway exits on the A28.
Admission: free; some activities (lunch, walks, workshops) may require booking.
Accommodation: facilities in nearby Maniago, Spilimbergo, and the surrounding foothill towns.
