International jazz that colors Pordenone
Born in 2019, Jazzinsieme has in a few years become one of the most vibrant jazz events in northeastern Italy. Organized by the Blues in Villa APS Cultural Association, the festival is not limited to a concert hall: it transforms the entire city of Pordenone into an open-air stage, where jazz dialogues with dance, visual arts, cinema, and new sounds.
The lineup alternates legends and emerging talents: over the years, artists such as Alfredo RodrÃguez, the Ambrose Akinmusire Quartet, Enrico Rava, and Simon Phillips have graced the festival stages. Alongside the major concerts, Jazzinsieme dedicates space to young musicians with artistic residencies and projects that connect local realities and partner festivals, in a logic of growth and discovery.
The venues reflect the project's diversity: the Arena Calderari for major concerts, the Ex Convento di San Francesco and the Palazzo del Fumetto for more intimate events, Villa Cattaneo for exhibitions and residencies, and the city squares. Exhibitions, screenings, and meetings enrich the experience, making the festival an opportunity to discover Pordenone, which will be the Italian Capital of Culture in 2027.
With notes drifting from windows, crowded clubs, and sunset concerts, Jazzinsieme offers the energy of a city that experiences music as a moment of encounter between people, genres, and diverse artistic expressions.
2026 celebrates the centenary of Miles Davis's birth. The festival runs from May 8th to July 12th, with main concerts concentrated between May 28th and June 4th, and in parallel, the exhibition "Miles Davis 100 – Listen to This!" at Villa Cattaneo (open on weekends until July 12th). An artistic residency with young musicians is also planned, in collaboration with other local organizations.
