Two days of Parma flavours at the foot of the Rocca dei Rossi
SaporDei - Products of the Parma Area is the spring food and wine event that transforms the heart of San Secondo Parmense, in the province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna, into a large open-air taste laboratory. The event takes place in Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini, the monumental setting at the foot of the Rocca dei Rossi, one of the most fascinating Renaissance residences of the Castles of the Duchy of Parma, Piacenza and Pontremoli.
The heart of SaporDei is the Three Kitchens format: three restaurants and their chefs interpret three thematic tasting routes, each inspired by an environment of the Parma area. The Woods route explores the flavours of the highlands and wild products, the River route celebrates the freshness and suggestions of the lowlands crossed by the Po river and its tributaries, while the Land route pays homage to the typical and authentic products of the Emilian plain. The kitchens are open continuously, with a choice of menus and options for vegetarians and gluten-free diets.

SaporDei is not just about gastronomy: the event intertwines taste with the enhancement of San Secondo's historical and artistic heritage. During the event, there are spectacular tours of the Rocca dei Rossi, live music performances and cultural initiatives that invite visitors to rediscover the village and its history linked to the noble Rossi family.
Promoted by the Municipality of San Secondo Parmense in collaboration with Bi&Bi Eventi, SaporDei has become in just a few editions a reference point for those who want to discover the food and wine excellences of the Parma area up close, in a convivial and family atmosphere that provides the backdrop for the great products of Emilian tradition.
The third edition of SaporDei was held on Saturday, May 9, and Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini, at the foot of the Rocca dei Rossi in San Secondo Parmense. The heart of the event was the Three Kitchens format: the Woods route entrusted to the chefs of the La Valle restaurant in Fidenza, the River route to the La Stornaia restaurant in Sissa, and the Land route to the BeQuadro restaurant in Parma.
The programme featured themed tastings with producers, bread-making and cooking workshops, show cooking, a round table with guest chefs, and live music. There was also a market with exhibitors and local producers, and evening visits to the Rocca dei Rossi, in a weekend that confirmed SaporDei as one of the most appreciated food and wine showcases in the Parma area.

By car: San Secondo Parmense is about 20 km north of Parma; take the A1 Parma motorway exit, then the SS9 and provincial roads towards San Secondo. By train: Parma station on the Milan-Bologna line, then bus connections to San Secondo.
Access to the event is free. Some guided tastings and the menus of the Three Kitchens are subject to a fee; some themed tastings are free. Booking is recommended for visits to the Rocca.
