The antique market on the second Sunday of the month in Sant'Ilario d'Enza
Antiquari in Piazza is the historic antique market in Sant'Ilario d'Enza, in the low plains of the province of Reggio Emilia, in Emilia-Romagna. Every second Sunday of the month, except August, Piazza della Repubblica, Via Roma, and the streets of the historic center are filled with stalls from about 150 professional exhibitors with regular licenses, in a route that crosses the heart of the town along the Via Emilia, halfway between Reggio Emilia and Parma.
The market was born on April 13, 1986, with about fifty exhibitors spread across Piazza della Repubblica. Over four decades, the initiative has grown to triple the number of stalls, becoming a reference point for collectors and enthusiasts from all over the area. In 2026, the event celebrates its fortieth anniversary, a milestone celebrated by the local press as one of the most vibrant and long-lasting realities in the Val d'Enza calendar.
The offering is typical of quality antiques and modern items, with a curated selection spanning different eras:
More than just a fair, Antiquari in Piazza is an opportunity to enjoy a Sunday outdoors in the center of Sant'Ilario d'Enza: a leisurely stroll among the stalls, searching for the right item or simply for the pleasure of browsing. The event is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Sant'Ilario d'Enza and represents one of the most cherished commercial and social events for the local community.
