About San Luca Fair

Every year, on the third weekend of October, the historic center of Correggio comes alive with the San Luca Fair, the heart of the "Correggio in Autumn" event. A popular festival that brings the traditions of the Emilia rural world back to the square: processing of Parmigiano Reggiano, bread baked in a wood-fired oven, pork processing, grape pressing, and vintage tractors. Among antique and craft markets, food stalls, exhibitions, and entertainment for all ages, it is one of the most cherished autumn events in the Reggio Emilia area. Free admission.

The San Luca Fair, Correggio's Autumn

The San Luca Fair is the great autumn fair of Correggio, in the Province of Reggio Emilia, and represents the highlight of the "Correggio in Autumn" event. Every year, on the third weekend of October, the historic center of the Emilian city transforms into a large, widespread stage dedicated to art, culture, traditions, food and wine, games, and entertainment.

Traditions of the Rural World

The common thread of the event is the recovery of the traditions of the rural world that have shaped the territory of the Bassa Reggiana. Along the streets and squares of the center — from Corso Mazzini to Piazza Garibaldi and Piazzale Carducci — you can witness live the ancient processing techniques of the farmyard and courtyard:

  • the processing of Parmigiano Reggiano, an identity symbol of Emilia;
  • the baking of bread in a wood-fired oven;
  • the traditional pork processing;
  • the grape pressing and the exhibition of vintage tractors;
  • grain milling and ancient craft trades.

Raccontavino and Food and Wine

Among the most anticipated events is Raccontavino, the historic competition dedicated to homemade wines produced with ancient methods, which in recent editions has surpassed its thirty-fifth year. The award ceremony and tastings liven up the fair, alongside the Pro Loco stand with tastings of typical products such as Sugo, Saba, and Savor, the autumn specialties of Emilian peasant tradition.

Art, Culture, and Markets

"Correggio in Autumn" is not just about gastronomy: during the fair days, the Civic Tower, the "Il Correggio" Civic Museum, the Giulio Einaudi Library, and the exhibition galleries of the Palazzo dei Principi open to the public, with exhibitions and cultural initiatives. The streets of the center host antique and craft markets, stalls of typical products, open shops and restaurants, as well as numerous activities for children and families.

A Festival for the Entire Territory

Organized by the Pro Loco Correggio in collaboration with the Municipality of Correggio, the San Luca Fair is one of the most deeply rooted autumn events in Emilia-Romagna: an opportunity to immerse yourself in the agricultural and culinary culture that has marked the history of this corner of the Po Valley plain. Admission is free.

San Luca Fair — edition 2026

The San Luca Fair returns to the historic center of Correggio for the 2026 edition, included in the official public fair calendar of the Emilia-Romagna Region with a date set for October 18, 2026, and, as is customary, extended to the third weekend of October. The traditional format of the "Correggio in Autumn" event is confirmed: traditions of the rural world, food and wine, markets, exhibitions, and entertainment. The detailed program will be published by Pro Loco Correggio in the weeks preceding the event.

The 2026 edition of the San Luca Fair is expected in the historic center of Correggio on the third weekend of October. The event is registered in the regional calendar of public fairs in Emilia-Romagna, referencing October 18, 2026.
