The historic antiques and hobby market of San Polo d'Enza, every first Sunday of the month
The Antiques and Hobby Market is one of the most beloved events in the calendar of San Polo d'Enza, a municipality in the Province of Reggio Emilia overlooking the Enza river, in Emilia-Romagna. Every first Sunday of the month, except January, the historic center squares host dozens of exhibitors who display and sell antique items, collector's pieces, modern design, curiosities, and creations of ingenuity.
The market takes place between Piazza Giacomo Matteotti and Piazza 1° Maggio, in the oldest part of the town, dominated by the Matildic Fortress and the clock tower. Strolling among the stalls here also means discovering a medieval-flavored village, once an important crossroads between the Reggiano and Parmense areas and today the gateway to the charming Val d'Enza.
This is a historic hobby market: the sellers are mostly hobbyists with the appropriate permit, and they mainly offer vintage and collectible items. Among the stalls, you can find:
The event is organized by the Municipality of San Polo d'Enza in collaboration with the traders' association San Polo in vetrina, and is open to all citizens. Entry is completely free: it is the ideal opportunity for a Sunday stroll among history, collectibles, and village atmosphere, perhaps combined with a visit to the Fortress, which houses the Museum of the Resistance, and the natural surroundings of the Val d'Enza.
The 2026 edition of the Antiques and Hobby Market in San Polo d'Enza confirms the established formula: ten monthly events, always on the first Sunday of the month (except January), between Piazza Matteotti and Piazza 1° Maggio. A stroll through history, collectibles, and vintage items in the heart of the Val d'Enza village.
The market is held every first Sunday of the month (except January), from morning until late afternoon, in Piazza Matteotti and Piazza 1° Maggio. Confirmed dates:
At each event, exhibitors, predominantly hobbyists with permits, offer antiques, collectibles, modern design, books, prints, ceramics, glassware, and curiosities.
Ten Sundays of antiques and hobbies in the historic center, in the shadow of the Matildic Fortress, with free entry and a village market atmosphere.
