About Terre di Vite

Terre di Vite is the grand festival of artisan wine that every autumn transforms the historic Villa Cavazza in Solara di Bomporto, in the Bassa Modenese area, into a meeting point for hundreds of independent winemakers and thousands of enthusiasts. Two days of free tasting at the tasting counters, taste workshops, guided seminars, and local Emilian cuisine. A benchmark event for those seeking natural, sincere wines outside the mainstream distribution channels.

A festival dedicated to artisan wine

Terre di Vite is one of the most beloved events for natural and artisan wine enthusiasts in Central-Northern Italy. Founded in 2011, the event takes place every year in the setting of the historic Villa Cavazza – Corte della Quadra, in the hamlet of Solara, in Bomporto, in the province of Modena (Emilia-Romagna). Curated by Barbara Brandoli with the patronage of the Municipality of Bomporto, the exhibition brings together over 140 winemakers from all regions of Italy, with some international presence, to offer the public more than a thousand wines for free tasting.

Free tasting and tasting counters

The heart of Terre di Vite is the tasting counter: with the glass provided at the entrance, visitors can move freely among the producers' tables and talk directly with the winemakers, often the same hands that work the vineyard. It is a direct and authentic way to discover the work of those who make wine artisanally, respecting the land and the rhythms of nature. The selection favors natural, organic, and biodynamic wines, far from industrial logic.

Taste workshops and seminars

Alongside the tastings, the program offers eight Taste Workshops, led by chefs, sommeliers, and industry experts, and in-depth seminars, including those led by Sandro Sangiorgi, founder of Porthos magazine and one of the most authoritative voices in wine culture in Italy. These are moments designed for those who want to go beyond tasting and understand the thought behind each bottle.

Food and crafts

The Food and More section completes the experience with food trucks and gastronomic spaces dedicated to Emilian regional dishes, artisan ice creams, and typical products, as well as craft stalls with creations like jewelry and candles. The service is often handled by students from local hospitality schools, with the aim of promoting the territory.

An autumn event in the Bassa Modenese

For two days at the end of October, Solara di Bomporto becomes the capital of artisan wine: an opportunity for enthusiasts to build their own cellar, for professionals to discover new labels, and for the curious to approach a world made of passion, hard work, and respect for the land. Villa Cavazza, with its courtyard and arcades, offers an elegant and intimate setting that makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Terre di Vite — edition 2026

The fifteenth edition of Terre di Vite returns on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the historic Villa Cavazza in Solara di Bomporto (MO). Two days dedicated to artisan winemakers and natural wines from all over Italy, with free tastings, meetings with producers, and taste workshops. Among the first confirmed events are seminars by Sandro Sangiorgi, founder of Porthos.

Terre di Vite 2026 — XV Edition

Terre di Vite celebrates its fifteenth edition on October 24 and 25, 2026, at Villa Cavazza – Corte della Quadra, in Solara di Bomporto (Modena). This year again, the exhibition will bring together dozens of artisan winemakers from all over Italy, with tasting counters for free tasting, taste workshops, and the gastronomic section dedicated to Emilian regional flavors.
