Unlike the official events dedicated to cured ham, this is the village festival in its most genuine sense: three days at the end of August when the community gathers in the square to enjoy time together with music, flavours, and fun.

The heart of the event is Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, enlivened by live concerts with bands and cover bands, while the food and wine stalls offer Prosciutto di San Daniele DOP and local specialities. There are also more light-hearted moments, such as the Prosciut Color Run, a colourful run designed for younger people, and the fun ham-eating contest open to all ages.

Alongside the festivities, traditions have their place: from popular games like morra (a hand game) to exhibitions and guided tours of the town and its treasures, from the Guarneriana Library to the Cathedral. How to get there
San Daniele del Friuli can be reached by car from Udine in about half an hour (SS463). During the festival, Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the centre are dedicated to the events: it is advisable to park in the outer areas.
