The Sambuca 'Black Gold' Truffle Festival takes place in Sambuca di Sicilia, a charming village in the Agrigento province of Sicily, overlooking Lake Arancio and nestled among the hills of the Sicani Mountains. Created to showcase a long-overlooked local resource, the event celebrates the truffles that grow in the surrounding woods, which have become a new symbol of the town's identity.

Since 2022, Sambuca di Sicilia has been a member of the national Città del Tartufo (City of Truffles) association, a recognition that testifies to the presence and quality of truffles in its soil. The festival was established to promote the village and its excellence while supporting local restaurants, bars, and delis. Sambuca is also one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, and the event is often linked to the Romantic Night of the villages, which brings the town's streets to life on June evenings.

For three days, the historic center of Sambuca, with its Saracen alleys, squares, and noble palaces, hosts a rich calendar of initiatives dedicated to truffles and the local area:
