Inycon, the wine soul of Menfi
Inycon is the oldest Sicilian event dedicated to quality wine. It takes its name from the ancient appellation of the city of Menfi, in the heart of the Agrigento province, and since 1996, it has been showcasing the winemaking excellence of one of Western Sicily's most renowned territories. Overlooking the Belìce coast and bathed by the Mediterranean, Menfi is the home of the DOC Menfi and one of the symbolic municipalities of quality Sicilian viticulture.
A journey through wine, food, and oil
For three days, the historic center of Menfi becomes a grand village of taste. The heart of the festival is the Gastronomic Village, where you can sample wines from local wineries and the delicacies of the Belìce region, accompanied by a Wine Bar and the Expo Village dedicated to local crafts and culture. In recent years, the event has also expanded its focus to extra virgin olive oil, with the «Olio su Terra» project and the involvement of the Menfi Olive Oil Community.
Tastings, masterclasses, and culture
The Inycon program alternates between guided tastings and masterclasses with industry experts, conferences on the future of Menfi wine, show cooking with Sicilian chefs, and visits and tastings at local wineries and oil mills. A historic residence like Villa Varvaro hosts literary meetings, theatrical performances, presentations, and musical moments, while the squares host concerts and evening entertainment.
A community festival
Inycon is not just a wine and food festival, but a true community occasion for the Municipality of Menfi and for the entire Sicilian food and wine scene. Included in the regional calendar of tourist events, the event attracts enthusiasts, producers, journalists, and tourists from all over the island every year, confirming itself as one of the most important showcases for Sicilian wine.
When it takes place
Inycon is traditionally held on the first weekend of October, in the period following the grape harvest. It is the ideal time to discover Menfi, its wines, and the Belìce landscape in one of the most evocative seasons of the year.
Inycon — edition 2026
The 28th edition of Inycon is confirmed in Menfi (AG) from October 2nd to 4th, 2026, organized by the Inycon Foundation and included in the Sicilian regional calendar of tourist events.
As in previous editions, the event will offer guided tastings of DOC Menfi wines, tastings of local products and Belìce olive oil, conferences and in-depth workshops, live music, and theatrical performances spread throughout the historic center.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including the schedule of events, guests, and times, has not yet been published by the organizers: it will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event on the official website and the Inycon Foundation channels.

How to get there
Menfi is located in Western Sicily, in the province of Agrigento, along the Belìce coast. By car, it can be reached via the SS115 (Trapani–Siracusa); the nearest airports are Palermo «Falcone-Borsellino» and Trapani-Birgi, both about an hour and a half away by road.
